Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker, Theatre and Endoscopy

Caithness, a beautiful county in the far North of Scotland

Provide efficient and high quality theatre service across day case, elective general surgery, cataracts, oculoplastics, dentals, gynaecology, recovery and endoscopy specialties within a Rural General Hospital.

• Assist in peri-operative care and patient preparation for surgical procedures.
• Support theatre staff to maintain a patient focused and safe environment.
• Attend to patient needs and assist with mobilisation and discharge from the theatre area.
• Cover overnight and weekend on‑call rotations as required.
• Work flexible shifts and may need to drive to the hospital within 30 minutes.

• Band 3 or Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker with evidence of SCQF Level 6 or equivalent training and experience.
• Willingness to complete competencies in Endoscopy.
• Desirable: experience within peri‑operative care setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Permanent full‑time 37 hour post, Monday to Friday.
