Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE)
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
Overview
An established precision manufacturing company based in Wickford is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join its team. The business manufactures high-precision components for automotive, aerospace, energy, EV and advanced industrial sectors, where quality, traceability and process control are critical.
This is a hands-on quality role, combining quality system management with inspection and detailed quality activities.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100 and customer-specific automotive and aerospace requirements.
Lead and support internal audits, external audits and certification visits.
Act as the main quality point of contact for customers, suppliers and auditors.
Manage customer complaints, non-conformances, concessions and quality alerts to closure.
Drive corrective and preventive actions using 8D and CAPA methodologies.
Maintain quality registers and monitor internal quality KPIs.
Champion continuous improvement activities across the business.
Perform and manage inspection, calibration, FAIR and PPAP activities.
Manage RoHS, REACH and other compliance documentation.
Promote and embed a strong quality culture across the organisation.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Manager role within manufacturing.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS9100.
Experience working with automotive and aerospace customers.
Ability to manage quality systems alongside hands-on inspection work.
Good working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail with clear communication skills.
CAD and CMM experience would be preferable but not essential.
What's On Offer
Salary of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
