The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their automation or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide an effective learning experience for the student.

• The student will apply principles learned in school to hands-on situations.
• The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility throughout the co-op experience.
• Identify and fix electrical and automation problems.
• Attend and participate in weekly departmental meetings.
• Take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
• Participate on project teams for assigned projects.
• Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
• Work on automation components, PLCs, and HMIs; troubleshoot hardware issues, electrical issues, and logic issues while configuring automation.

• Knowledge of electrical engineering
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of robotic programming is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or  is a plus
• Good writing skills and interpersonal skills

• Student pursuing a degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
