SUMMARY
The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their automation or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide an effective learning experience for the student.
Responsibilities- The student will apply principles that he or she has learned in school to hands-on situations.
- The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility throughout his/her co-op experience.
- Identify and fix electrical and automation problems.
- Attend and participate in weekly departmental meetings.
- Take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
- Participate on project teams for some assigned projects.
- Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
- Work on automation components, PLCs, and HMIs; troubleshoot hardware issues, electrical issues, and logic issues while configuring automation.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of robotic programming a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or is a plus
- Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
- Student pursuing a degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
