VCF Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the chemical / manufacturing sector, is seeking a VCF Engineer to join their team. As a VCF Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting the Cloud and Virtualization team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to technology challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Design and develop comprehensive VCF 9 architecture for management and workload domains.
• Perform greenfield installation of VCF 9, including management domain setup, vSphere, vSAN, and NSX configuration.
• Integrate external services such as DNS, NTP, and LDAP, ensuring environment readiness and post‑installation validation.
• Configure SDDC Manager for patching, upgrades, and implement backup and recovery strategies for VCF components.
• Provide documentation, training, and share best practices for day‑2 operations and troubleshooting with internal teams.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, preferably v9, including deployment and lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of vSphere, vSAN (ESA/OSA), and NSX‑T networking and storage configurations.
• Familiarity with Power
  
  CLI, JSON deployment specifications, and API integrations.
• Deep understanding of VLANs, MTU, routing, and IP addressing in enterprise environments.
• Relevant certifications such as VCP‑VCF Architect or Support are preferred.
