About Flock

At Flock we do insurance very differently. We're nearing 1 billion connected, insured miles thanks to our real‑time, data‑driven approach. This enables us to price connected vehicle insurance and assess risk better than ever before, giving fleet owners the insights they need to improve safety. We don’t just pay claims; we help our customers prevent them. We now insure hundreds of fleets in the UK, including Amazon, DPD, Uber and Bolt.

We've raised over £50M and aim to become the leading insurance company for connected and autonomous vehicles, building a world‑class team to help us get there.

The Role

We’re searching for an ambitious Senior Broker Development Manager to accelerate our distribution through brokers. In this role, you’ll maximise existing broker relationships and build strong, strategic growth partnerships as part of our fast‑paced distribution team.

What We Think is Most Exciting About the Role

Be a part of building something game‑changing in the fleet market. You’ll manage a panel of key strategic brokers with significant growth opportunities, engaging them on the market‑leading benefits of Flock’s connected fleet proposition and how together we can reduce risk, improve costs and save lives.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary face of Flock for a panel of key broker partners, driving mutual growth and long‑term success.
  • Deliver high volumes of broker submissions, directly supporting Flock’s ambitious growth targets.
  • Build, grow and develop our broker panel, onboarding new partners at pace and maximising their commercial potential.
  • Proactively engage brokers, finding new and creative ways to promote Flock’s appetite and proposition as we expand into new sectors.
  • Develop and execute clear, data‑driven account growth strategies to drive sustained performance.
  • Achieve strong conversion and retention by supporting day‑to‑day trading activity and helping brokers (and Flock) win and retain business.
  • Work closely with internal teams, collaborating with Flockers across the business to deliver shared growth objectives.
  • Maintain strong broker advocacy by being visible, responsive and passionate about Flock’s product, proposition and mission.
Qualifications
  • ESSENTIAL
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing broker relationships within the insurance sector, possessing a reputable standing in the industry.
  • Energy and innovation in abundance – the ability to work fast, spot opportunity and solve problems.
  • A proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, driving business growth, and closely collaborating with cross‑functional teams to achieve collective objectives.
  • An existing network of broker contacts that will enable rapid integration and immediate impact within Flock’s business development realm.
  • Exceptional understanding of the commercial broker marketplace, competitor carriers, broker business models, and processes.
  • Ability to deliver a consultative sales process, aligning Flock’s value proposition with brokers’ current and future business needs.
  • PREFERABLE
  • Experience building networks of brokers in a Commercial Motor Fleet setting.
  • Broker distribution background with an active panel of brokers in the commercial insurance market.
  • Can embrace new technologies and products, with experience of successfully distributing these to brokers.
What We Offer (in Addition To a Competitive Salary)
  • Participation in Flock’s Share Option Scheme
  • 25 days of holiday (+ Bank Holidays)
  • Workplace Pension
  • Private Medical Insurance (including Optical & Mental Health)
  • Various Salary Sacrifice Schemes – Workplace Nursery, Holiday Purchase, Tech, Gym, Cycle to Work, Electric Vehicle, Private Medical Insurance for families
  • Enhanced Parental Leave and Pay
  • £1,000 toward relevant professional qualifications
  • £500 per annum towards learning and development
