Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to either hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a mainly remote role with occasional travel as required.

• Develop & deliver high‑quality Python‑based services within a cloud environment.
• Contribute to the modernisation of legacy systems as part of a large transformation programme.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery teams to shape effective solutions.
• Build & maintain services using AWS, following secure and scalable design principles.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, testing and automation to improve delivery efficiency.
• Share knowledge, contribute ideas and help improve team practices and standards.

• Commercial experience with Python (or a strong .NET background with willingness to learn Python).
• Experience building applications within AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of modern software development practices and agile delivery.
• Experience with SQL databases (desirable).
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Next.js (desirable).
