Overview

Prospero Teaching are searching for a specialised SEND Tutor within the Halton area. The role involves 1-1 tuition and mentoring to support students with special educational needs (SEN). The tutoring aspect requires delivering core subjects, while the mentoring aspect includes local trips, helping young people integrate into the local area, CV writing, planning for the future, and life skills.

Due to the nature of the students we support, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of SEN.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

QTS or equivalent
Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
UK teaching experience
Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

Eligibility

Hold the right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
