Full Time Salary
: £30,740 – £33,845 per year

• Prepare course/training materials
• Complete external paperwork promptly as required
• Maintain the quality of the learner programme to meet IQA and EQA criteria
• Deliver engaging sessions including wellbeing awareness
• Attend business networking events to promote SWRAC activities
• Support learners with LDD/SEND in a variety of classroom settings
• Work closely with team members to monitor and review ILP targets
• Be aware of individual learners’ risk assessments and needs
• Encourage independence and self‑help skills wherever possible
• Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by management and appropriate to the role

• Recognised teaching qualification
• Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent GCSE Level
  4)
• Experience working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural difficulties
• Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice and legislation
• Behaviour qualifications (desirable)
• SEND qualifications (desirable)

• Good communication and calculation skills
• Effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• Capacity to supervise students both in college and outside the centre, adhering to the behaviour policy
• Ability to manage challenging situations and a demanding working environment
• Proficiency in IT
• Ability to work in partnership with parents, carers and teachers
• Innovative thinker able to adapt teaching and support strategies
• Ability to use own initiative and work flexibly
• Ability to support learners with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties

• Ability to relate well to vulnerable young adults
• Understanding of behaviour management strategies
• Understanding of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural difficulties
• General understanding of curriculum and learning programmes/strategies
• Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities

• Works well under pressure and is flexible
• Self‑motivated and uses personal initiative within a structured framework
• High level of personal drive and commitment to excellence through continuous improvement
• Enthusiastic and able to motivate others
• Willingness and ability to tackle poor student performance and problem‑solve
• Positive approach with good sense of humour
• Desire to empower young people with a range of learning or behavioural disabilities
• Keen to embrace and deliver change

• Working with vulnerable young people with learning disabilities or challenging emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Experience working with challenging young people in an educational establishment

• Committed to promoting independence in line with adulthood outcomes (Education/Employment & Careers, Friends, Relationships and Community, Health and Independent Lives)
• Prepared to work flexibly to meet work requirements
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults in college
