The Role
As an Accounts Assistant at Whitfield & Brown you will play an important role in supporting the day‑to‑day financial operations of the business. You will assist with core accounting activities ensuring records are accurate up to date and processed efficiently. This role is key to supporting the wider finance function and ensuring smooth financial processes across the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for general purchase ledger duties including processing invoices and maintaining accurate records. You will support general sales ledger duties and assist with maintaining customer and supplier accounts. You will process CIS applications and payments with training provided where required. You will manage filing and maintain organised financial records. You will use accounting software including Evolution where applicable with training provided.
You will also undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the finance team.
You will have a good level of accuracy and attention to detail with a structured approach to your work. You will be comfortable handling confidential financial information. Previous experience within an accounts or finance role is desirable but not essential. CIS experience and familiarity with Evolution software would be beneficial but training will be provided. You will be organised reliable and able to manage your time effectively.
You must be able to commute to our Widnes office.

This is a part time permanent role starting at 20 hours per week. The role is based at our Head Office in Widnes.
