This is a rare opportunity to join a long established £50m+ subsidiary within a successful international group as its senior finance leader, partnering directly with the Managing Director to help shape strategy, improve performance and drive future growth.

You’ll be far more than the person behind the numbers. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll influence commercial decisions, support operational excellence, identify opportunities for improvement and play a central role in the growth of the business.

Largely site presence required given leadership team responsibilities with some hybrid flexility.

You will lead the finance function while acting as a trusted commercial adviser to the leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the finance team
• Driving budgeting, forecasting and business planning
• Delivering insightful management reporting and analysis
• Partnering with operational leaders to improve performance
• Supporting strategic decision-making and investment proposals
• Managing cashflow, controls and financial governance
• Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
• Building strong relationships across the wider group
• Experience in costing, profitability analysis, pricing and contract evaluation.
• A track record of improving financial controls, reporting and business processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP and management reporting systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• A clear understanding of the links between operational performance, profitability and cash flow.

You are likely to be:

• ACA, ACCA, ICAS or CIMA qualified
• Operating as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar
• Commercially minded and naturally curious
• Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders
• Keen to play a visible role within a leadership team
