Tissue Viability Nurse
Overview
Bridgewater Community Health Care NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic Registered General Nurse to join the Tissue Viability Team. The role requires demonstrable experience in wound care management, and knowledge of tissue viability and/or leg ulcer management through accredited courses. Applicants must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. As a nurse, you will support your manager in ensuring that service users needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care, with a person-centred approach to independence and wellbeing.
Responsibilities- Support the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Tissue Viability in providing an efficient, effective, high-quality service.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and within the Scope of Professional Practice.
- Maintain own clinical and professional expertise by participating in clinical supervision and professional development planning.
- Promote the clinical effectiveness of the nurse-led service using a multidisciplinary team approach.
- Promote a culture of using the latest evidence and best practice.
- Utilise analytical and judgemental skills in the assessment of patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed health problems.
- Provide professional advice and leadership in tissue viability.
- Support the CNS for Tissue Viability in the delivery of education programmes.
- Provide effective clinical advice and assistance in the assessment, management, treatment and prevention of chronic wounds.
- Work autonomously under indirect supervision of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Tissue Viability.
- Flexible working will be considered for all roles.
- Note:
We do not hold a sponsor licence for working visas.
- Registered General Nurse with demonstrable experience in wound care management.
- Knowledge of tissue viability and/or leg ulcer management through accredited courses.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
