General Assistant - Millbrow Care Home

Role Overview

Halton Borough Council’s Care Homes are looking for a General Assistant to support daily operations in a safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained environment for residents. The role includes maintaining standards of cleanliness and hygiene, assisting with meal preparation and laundry tasks and providing simple personal‑care support to promote independence.

Hours:

20 hours per week, rota based across 7 days.

Location:

Millbrow care home.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Assist with meal preparation and laundry tasks.
• Provide simple personal‑care support to residents.
• Support daily operations as part of a dedicated team.

• Domestic work experience.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding the needs of older people.
• Availability to work weekends, bank holidays and additional shifts.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination or valid medical exemption.
