The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner to join a leading manufacturing organisation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring production schedules, material availability and customer delivery commitments are achieved while supporting continuous improvement across planning and supply chain operations.
Your duties and responsibilities will be- Develop and maintain production and procurement schedules to support customer demand and ensure product availability.
- Monitor material requirements and coordinate with suppliers, warehouses and internal departments to prevent shortages and maintain operational efficiency.
- Utilise MRP systems to assess planning recommendations and convert requirements into production and purchasing activities.
- Produce planning, logistics and performance reports, investigating issues and providing recommendations to improve delivery performance and stock management.
- Work closely with production, quality and management teams to resolve planning challenges, support continuous improvement initiatives and respond effectively to schedule changes and escalations.
- Previous experience within a Production Planner, Materials Planner or Supply Chain Planning position in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of MRP systems, production scheduling and inventory management principles.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and changing business requirements.
- Effective communication skills with experience collaborating across production, procurement, quality and logistics functions.
- Proven ability to analyse data, solve planning issues and contribute to improvements in operational performance and customer delivery.
