Production Operator

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
4-Day Working Week | Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm

We are recruiting for an experienced Production Operator to join a busy and growing manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced production environment.

This role would suit candidates with SMT experience, but we are also keen to hear from individuals with transferable skills gained in electronics manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, production, engineering, or other quality-focused manufacturing environments.

The Role

As part of the production team, you will be involved in the manufacture of high-quality electronic assemblies, working with automated machinery and supporting production processes to ensure products are delivered to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

* Setting up and operating production machinery

* Line configuration and changeovers

* Loading, kitting and de-kitting components

* Machine programming and operation

* Solder paste printing

* Manual assembly and insertion of components

* Carrying out quality checks and inspections

* Rework and fault correction activities

* Supporting continuous improvement within the production process

What We're Looking For

You may have experience as a:

* SMT Operator

* Production Operator

* Assembly Technician

* Electronics Assembler

* Manufacturing Operative

* Machine Setter / Machine Operator

* Production Technician

* PCB Assembly Technician

* Mechanical or Electrical Assembler

The ideal candidate will have:

* Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

* Ability to follow technical instructions and processes

* Experience operating machinery or automated equipment

* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

Previous experience with SMT processes, Juki or Europlacer machines, and knowledge of IPC standards would be advantageous but is not essential for applicants who can demonstrate relevant transferable skills.
