Are you an experienced Production Planner who can balance customer demand, materials availability and production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Can you confidently use MRP systems to manage production orders, purchasing requirements and inventory levels? Do you have a track record of improving planning performance while working closely with production, quality and supply chain teams?

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner to join a leading manufacturing organisation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring production schedules, material availability and customer delivery commitments are achieved while supporting continuous improvement across planning and supply chain operations.

Production Planner, Supply Chain Planner, Materials Planner, Demand Planner, Master Scheduler, Production Scheduler, Inventory Planner, Logistics Planner, Procurement Planner, Operations Planner.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Develop and maintain production and procurement schedules to support customer demand and ensure product availability.
  • Monitor material requirements and coordinate with suppliers, warehouses and internal departments to prevent shortages and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Utilise MRP systems to assess planning recommendations and convert requirements into production and purchasing activities.
  • Produce planning, logistics and performance reports, investigating issues and providing recommendations to improve delivery performance and stock management.
  • Work closely with production, quality and management teams to resolve planning challenges, support continuous improvement initiatives and respond effectively to schedule changes and escalations.

You will have the following qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience within a Production Planner, Materials Planner or Supply Chain Planning position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of MRP systems, production scheduling and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and changing business requirements.
  • Effective communication skills with experience collaborating across production, procurement, quality and logistics functions.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, solve planning issues and contribute to improvements in operational performance and customer delivery.
