The venue delivers a wide range of motor sport-related activities, track experiences, corporate events, and public sessions across a busy annual schedule.

The working environment is fast-paced, customer-focused, and driven by a commitment to providing high-quality experiences across all visitor touchpoints. The Sales Department plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations, ensuring accurate booking processes, and supporting the delivery of events throughout the year.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales Administrator will provide confidential administrative and customer service support to the Sales Team. The role involves handling customer enquiries, processing bookings, managing data systems, supporting payments, preparing event documentation, and ensuring efficient coordination across the department. The post is ideal for someone who excels in communication, thrives in a dynamic events-driven workplace, and consistently maintains a professional and approachable manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handle incoming calls professionally, responding to enquiries, taking accurate messages, and providing friendly, customer-centric support.
  • Process telephone bookings, ensuring accuracy, compliance with procedures, and strong attention to detail.
  • Provide clear and informed guidance to customers regarding available sessions, events, and activity options.
  • Confidently handle payments (cash/card), following internal financial controls.
  • Manage customer feedback or complaints with professionalism, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Proactively upsell relevant sessions, packages, and events to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Operate the internal Back‑Office booking system to accurately input and update customer data.
  • Maintain the customer database in compliance with data‑protection requirements.
  • Prepare all necessary event paperwork, ensuring documentation is complete and available ahead of each activity.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality in all administrative tasks.
  • Assist with event planning, scheduling, and logistics preparation across the Sales Department.
  • Support event sign‑in and customer reception on occasion, ensuring smooth operational flow.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Sales and Operations to facilitate efficient event delivery.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist the wider team during peak periods.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • Previous experience in Sales, Customer Service, Events Administration, or a similar office‑based role.
  • Confident telephone manner with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT capability and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions‑focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team orientation with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Desirable Experience with in the events, leisure, hospitality, or motor sport sectors.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and handle competing priorities.
  • Interest in motor sport or customer‑experience‑led leisure activities (not essential).
