Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Wigan to recruit an experienced School Business Support Officer to provide vital administrative and reception support during a period of staff absence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and organised individual with previous school office experience to join a busy school environment and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the office. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents and external agencies, ensuring the school maintains a professional, efficient and welcoming front-of-house service.
Your new role

• Supporting the smooth operation of the school office and wider administrative function
• Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and pupils
• Greeting visitors and ensuring safeguarding and visitor sign-in procedures are followed
• Managing incoming telephone calls, emails and general enquiries
• Receiving and processing deliveries, post and courier collections
• Updating and maintaining pupil records and attendance data
• Assisting with admissions, communications and general school administration
