Position: Night Hygiene Zone Leader Greater

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Hygiene Zone Leader to join our Night Hygiene team at Agrial Fresh Produce in Wigan, WN5 0LB
.

Working hours:

Any 5 out of 7 days/ 45 hours per week/ 22:00- 07:00

Pay: £34,987.85 per annum

Main Responsibilities
  • To co-ordinate the efficient running of the Night Hygiene team in order to provide a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Organise and co-ordinate the allocation of tasks to staff within the area. Ensure that breaks are coordinated effectively.
  • Check that all relevant checks and paperwork have been completed accurately, in accordance with procedure and within specified time frames, countersigning to verify correct.
  • Liaise with Engineering to plan hygiene tasks around activities and to inform of any equipment issues in line with procedure.
  • Carry out validation checks, ensuring that completed tasks have been finished correctly and are in line with standard.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between the team and manager by monitoring team performance and morale. Attend regular meetings to provide progress updates. Escalate issues or concerns to manager promptly, facilitating discussions to agree on necessary changes or solutions.
  • Carry out walk away checks at the start and end of each shift in accordance with company standards and procedure.
  • Ensure the efficient use and proper maintenance of chemical and cleaning equipment. Perform basic maintenance within defined guidelines and monitor stock levels of chemical and cleaning supplies, reporting to manager for timely re-ordering.
  • Identify potential improvement opportunities and assist with the implementation of such improvements with guidance from your manager.
  • Co-ordinate and organise periodic cleaning within the area.
  • Conduct training and monitoring of new and existing employees in adherence to the Company’s training procedure. Challenge any underperformance through positive support, coaching and additional training when necessary.
  • Deputise for the Night Hygiene Manager as and when required, planning, co-ordinating and controlling all steps of the hygiene process to ensure the department runs reliably and efficiently in their absence.
  • Carry out reasonable requests made by your manager which are connected to your role, make use of your skills, and can be performed safely.
Skillsand Experience Required
  • Have an excellent standard of English literacy and numeracy with the ability to provide accurate data.
  • Ability to understand and undertake Food Safety, Health and Safety Qualification and Chemical Training.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and strong time management skills.
  • Communicate effectively with others at all times.
  • Demonstrate tasks and accountabilities competently at all times, including visits and audits by external parties.
  • Applies attention to detail to ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to Health and Safety requirements.
  • Experience of hygiene cleaning in the food manufacturing industry with experience of supervising a team.
