Wigan, North West - £45,000 - £70,000 + package (DOE)

A well-established commercial fit‑out contractor based in Wigan is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing pre‑construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with a strong background in CAT A & B commercial fit‑out projects to join a busy contractor with a healthy pipeline of work across the North West. You will play a key role in pricing projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission, working closely with senior management, the commercial team, and supply chain partners.

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for CAT A & B fit‑out projects
• Produce detailed take‑offs and cost breakdowns
• Obtain, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the supply chain
• Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks
• Support tender adjudications and post‑tender clarifications
• Assist with project handover to the commercial and delivery teams

• Proven experience as an Estimator within commercial fit‑out (CAT A & B essential)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Ability to price projects from first principles
• Confident communicator with strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Proficient in estimating and take‑off software (or similar industry tools)
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Based within a commutable distance of Wigan
