Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge & the opportunity to join a leading tier 1 contractor who have been awarded several new Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Justice projects across the North West. This is a great opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 contractor who work on a number of complex interesting projects that vary in size between £20m and £100m.

They work across a variety of sectors including the commercial, healthcare, education, residential, sports & leisure sectors. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will support the procurement of materials, plant, and subcontract services, ensuring competitive quotations are assessed and orders are placed in line with project timelines. You will assist in managing subcontract packages, overseeing valuations and contractual processes, while maintaining accurate project records and monitoring payments for labour, plant, and materials to ensure effective commercial control.

• Proven track record of Assistant Quantity Surveying ideally 3-5 years post grad experience
• Academically Qualified with a BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Background within a main contractor or developer environment
• Confident, commercially astute with good communication skills, able to negotiate and manage subcontractors effectively
• Base £40,000 - £49,000
• Car allowance or company car
• 26 days holidays + bank holidays
