Senior Quantity Surveyor / Team Leader

Location:

Warrington

A leading construction consultancy, offering quantity surveying and project management support directly to clients, are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Team Leader to join their Warrington office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career within a consultancy environment, working alongside an established team on a varied portfolio of exciting high-profile projects across the North West.

The business works across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, healthcare and education, with projects ranging from major public sector developments and infrastructure through to high-profile sporting, entertainment and media schemes.

We are looking for someone with previous consultancy experience and strong commercial awareness who can work alongside the existing Senior QS / Team Leader and help support the continued development of the team.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor / Team Leader, you will be involved predominantly in post-contract quantity surveying, whilst also having exposure to pre-contract work.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing quantity surveying commissions from inception through to completion.
Taking responsibility for post-contract cost management and commercial delivery.
Providing quantity surveying advice across a variety of sectors and project types.
Preparing and reviewing cost plans, valuations, variations, final accounts and commercial reports.
Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor throughout projects.
Working closely with project managers, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
Supporting junior members of the team and contributing to their professional development.
Assisting with the continued growth and development of the Warrington office.
Ensuring projects are delivered commercially, professionally and to a high standard.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Good experience across both pre and post-contract quantity surveying, with a particular strength in post-contract work.
Experience across a range of sectors.
Strong commercial and client facing skills.
The confidence to work independently whilst also contributing to a collaborative team.
The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
A genuine interest in developing their career and taking on additional responsibility.

Chartered status is not essential. The business is supportive of professional development and provides in-house training and financial support for individuals working towards chartership.

This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking for progression and greater responsibility, without wanting to move into a heavily corporate environment.

What You Can Expect

Competitive salary, negotiable on experience.
Flexible working.
A collaborative and approachable consultancy environment.
An exciting and varied project portfolio across the North West.
Genuine opportunities for professional development and progression.
Support towards chartership for those who want to pursue it.

The Opportunity
This is a chance to join a consultancy with an impressive and diverse project portfolio, working on schemes across the North West and beyond for a variety of high profile clients and sectors.

If you're an experienced Quantity Surveyor who wants to work in multiple sectors, enjoys being client facing, and is looking for a role where you can have a genuine impact within a growing team, this could be a great next step.
