Description

Careys are recruiting an experienced Black Hat Supervisor to join our team on major civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out hands-on groundworks and civil engineering activities including drainage, ducting, foundations, concrete works and utility installations.
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of operatives, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
  • Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks, promoting a strong health and safety culture across site.
  • Work closely with Site Managers and Engineers to plan daily activities and resource requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of works and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Support the allocation of labour, plant and materials to maximise productivity.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues while maintaining progress against project milestones.
  • Maintain site records and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures and RAMS.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • CSCS Black Card (Supervisor).
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering and groundworks.
  • Strong knowledge of drainage, ducting, concrete and earthworks operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Experience supervising site teams while remaining actively involved in the works.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • First Aid at Work and/or NRSWA Supervisor (desirable).
