We’re pleased to offer a Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship for those keen to build a career in the industry
Wage: £11,778 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 3.00pm, with a 30‑minute break time. Occasional Saturdays will be required in place of one of the week days.

Duration: 1 year
WorkMost of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.
What you'll do at work- Food hygiene is very important while preparing food and serving customers
- You would be handling money/card machines
- Using the tills and scales.
- There will be cleaning and record keeping
- We help each other with the tasks throughout the day, and expect that the ability to look for the jobs needing to be done is quickly picked up
Location:
Market Hall (seasonal temperature changes, lifting and packing involved)
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
- Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.

Use appropriate verbal and non‑verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face‑to‑face communications; and/or - Depending on your job role and work environment:

Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand. - Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
- Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate patience and calmness.
- Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
- Use appropriate sign‑posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
- All training will be in house, and there will be food hygiene training, customer service, stock rotation and record keeping
- You will learn how to vacuum pack, and age dependent use the slicer
GCSE in:
- Math (grade
3)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

The most important qualification is an abundance of life‑skills. People skills are essential, pride in punctuation and personal presentation are expected. The ability to work within a team, be eager to learn and prepared to pitch in whenever needed.
A uniform will be provided, the Market Hall has seasonal temperature changes. There is an element of lifting and packing involved.
About this employerWe are a long‑established, family‑run market stall specialising in hot takeaway food, BBQ chicken, and cooked meats. With a small and friendly team of fewer than 15 staff, we take pride in delivering excellent customer service in a supportive and welcoming working environment.
