Outwood Academy Hindley are looking to appoint a Lead Learning Manager. This role includes managing our team of 5 Learning Managers who each look after the pastoral and academic progress of a year group in school. The Lead Learning Manager will communicate clear purpose and vision to ensure students have the support they require to maximise their attainment. They will also take a strategic and operational lead for the welfare and safeguarding of our children and young people.
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring safeguarding training remains current and effective across the academy.
- Coordinate multi-agency support and contribute to a strong culture of safeguarding, attendance and inclusion across the school.
- Maintain accurate and secure safeguarding records in line with academy policy and statutory guidance.
- Ensure strong safeguarding procedures for vulnerable students accessing Alternative Provision with other providers.
- Promote positive behaviour and attitude, ensuring students follow the Positive Behaviour for Learning and Life policy.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for families, supporting staff throughout the referral process.
- Relevant experience in safeguarding, leadership and pastoral care.
- Strong communication and strategic vision skills.
- Proven ability to manage a team of learning managers.
