QTS SEN Tutor Wigan

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for experienced QTS Tutors to deliver 1:1 tuition in Wigan. This role is ideally suited to teachers with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We are a Teaching Agency dedicated to making a positive impact in young peoples lives by supporting their development and education. Our Children Education Team works closely with local authorities across the North‑West to support vulnerable pupils currently outside of mainstream education.

  Minimum £25 per hour

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
• Two years of professional references
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
• Experience working within a SEN setting (preferred but not essential)

The successful tutor will be patient, empathetic, and able to design and deliver tailored learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may be required to re‑engage pupils with their learning. The aim is to provide structure, routine, and educational development, ultimately supporting the pupils reintegration into an educational setting.

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor pupil progress, requiring weekly reports to track development.

* Tuition generally takes place during school hours. Sessions typically range between 14 hours daily or weekly.
