Overview
Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping young minds thrive? We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a tutor in Wigan. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk young people. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 education and boost engagement and attainment levels.
Prospero's mission is to raise the standard of support for vulnerable young people across the UK. We are seeking a passionate, creative and holistic tutor who can provide academic support and guidance to students in one-on-one or small-group settings, improving their educational journey.
Responsibilities- Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 education and boost engagement and attainment.

Minimum rate of pay: £25 per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications- QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
- UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
- Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references
