Desian Education is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to work in a specialist primary setting in Wigan, supporting pupils aged 5–11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a experienced SEN Teacher to join a nurturing and supportive school community that places strong emphasis on high expectations, positive relationships, and personalised learning. The role will involve teaching across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, adapting learning to meet individual needs and supporting pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development.

The Role

* Teaching pupils with SEMH needs across KS1 and KS2

* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

* Creating a safe, nurturing, and consistent classroom environment

* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

* Supporting holistic development, including social and emotional skills

* Working collaboratively with support staff and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Experience as an SEN Teacher, particularly SEMH, is highly desirable

* Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, nurturing approach

* Flexible, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
