Science Teacher

Position: Science Teacher (Contract)
We are working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Wigan seeking a dedicated Science specialist to join their team as soon as possible. This role will run through to the end of the summer term, providing stability and continuity for the right candidate.

Specialists in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics are all welcome to apply.

You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and support strong academic progress.

Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons
Teaching your subject specialism where possible
Supporting students preparing for GCSE examinations
Maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment
Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback
Working collaboratively with the Science department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Excellent classroom management skills
A commitment to raising attainment and engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
