Daily Rate: £120–£200 depending on experience
A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Ashton-in-Makerfield is seeking a strong and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Key Stage 2 practitioner who can quickly build positive relationships, maintain high expectations, and deliver engaging lessons that support pupils in reaching their full potential.
The school is looking for a teacher who is organised, proactive, and confident in managing a Year 5 class. You will be supported by a dedicated leadership team and work alongside experienced staff within a positive and collaborative environment.
The role will involve:
Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Effectively managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations.
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to support all learners.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold QTS and have recent Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
Be confident teaching in Year 5 and preparing pupils for upper KS2.
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
Be reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupil progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
