Summary:

The governors of Our Lady and All Saints Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years provision for children aged 2-5. The role involves working across our Nursery and Reception classes and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs as part of our hardworking, dedicated team.

Our school is set in the small rural village of Parbold in West Lancashire. We are well known locally for being a very friendly, inclusive school and are keen to maintain this reputation. As we are a small school, our staff are acutely aware of each child’s strengths, talents and needs. We are recognised in the local authority as a high performing school;

in both our most recent Ofsted and Archdiocesan inspections, we were graded outstanding. At Our Lady and All Saints, we have high expectations of all and strive for excellence in all we do; aiming to develop every child to the best of their ability.

  • Has experience of working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or above qualification (or equivalent)
  • Paediatric First Aid
Essential Experience
  • Experience of working with or caring for children in Early Years
  • Experience of working in an Early Years’ environment

  • Experience of working with or caring for children of primary school age
  • Experience of administrative work
  • Experience of supporting children with special educational needs
