Year 6 Teaching Assistant (September 2026)
Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school located in Hindley Green (WN2), who are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is to start in September 2026 and will be a temporary, long-term position until December 2026!
About the RoleThis Year 6 Teaching Assistant is a full-time, long-term temporary role supporting children in the Year 6 class, with a particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The Year 6 Teaching Assistant role is full-time, working Monday to Friday, and the working hours are 08:30 am- 15:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher and work collaboratively with support staff
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for SEND pupils
- Promote a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Help pupils stay on task and achieve their learning goals
- KS2 and SEND experience (desirable)
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Recent and relevant experience working with children within the past two years
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
- Must be reliable and punctual
