Primary PPA Teachers – September 2026

We are recruiting Primary PPA Teachers to work on a temporary supply basis covering PPA across Primary Schools in Wigan for September 2026.

Milk Education is working exclusively with several Primary Schools in Wigan to support them with their PPA cover needs weekly. We are looking for Primary PPA Teachers to work on an ad‑hoc basis, ranging from 2‑5 days per week, depending on your availability.

The Primary PPA Teacher’s role is working Monday to Friday 08:30 am – 16:00 pm. The role of a Primary PPA Teacher is to work across all year groups, covering PPA as and when required to do so. You will be given a timetable to follow each day or each week and you will work closely with the class teachers and support staff while undertaking PPA.

• Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
• Guiding children through the curriculum and marking work
• Managing behaviour
• Upholding the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons

• You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
• Hold QTS
• Knowledge of the national curriculum
• Be passionate and understanding
• Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
• Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
• Good communication skills
