SEN Teacher Required.
Contract:
Full-time, 5 days per week. Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in the North West. This SEN Teacher role is full-time ideally, although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
The ideal SEN Teacher will have previous experience supporting children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, developmental disabilities, and behavioural needs. The successful Teacher will be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher- Develop and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet pupils' individual learning needs
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with Special Educational Needs as an effective SEN Teacher
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development across all areas of learning
- Use a range of teaching strategies, behavioural interventions, and learning technology to support pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively using positive behaviour management strategies
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where necessary
- Provide targeted support for pupils with Autism, speech and language needs, and additional learning difficulties
- Support early intervention and developmental milestones where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, and senior leaders
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment in your role as a SEN Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Recent experience working with children within the last two years
- Previous experience working as a SEN Teacher or supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- Strong understanding of special education practices, childhood development, and behaviour management
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs and differentiated learning strategies
- Ability to provide two professional references from recent roles working with children
- Hold a current DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism, behavioural needs, speech and language difficulties, or sensory impairments is advantageous
- Knowledge of ABA strategies, learning technology, or Montessori approaches is beneficial
