EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant – September 2026
Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school located in Hindley (WN2) which is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a full‑time, long‑term temporary role supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, with a particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 08:30am–15:30pm, and will start September 2026 – December 2026 with a view of being taken on a direct contract with the school.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment. The role will involve providing tailored support to SEND pupils, both on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups, ensuring they remain engaged and make progress in line with their learning goals.
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher and work collaboratively with support staff
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for SEND pupils
- Promote a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Help pupils stay on task and achieve their learning goals
- EYFS and SEND experience (desirable)
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Recent and relevant experience working with children within the past two years
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
