Year 4 SEND Teaching Assistant-September 2026
Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Pemberton, Wigan (WN5) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting September 2026!
This temporary SEND Teaching Assistant position involves working in Year 4, supporting two SEND pupils with a variety of additional needs on a one-to-one basis. You will support one child in the morning and another child in the afternoon.
The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the individual learning needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support for two Year 4 children with additional needs
- Support children with ASD, ADHD, and Complex Needs
- Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
- Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
- Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the child's academic and emotional development
