Year 3 Teaching Assistant
Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Standish (WN6) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Year 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2026! This role will be a temporary position, with a view of becoming a permanent role.
This Year 3 Teaching Assistant role focuses on providing one-to-one support for a child with Autism. We are looking for someone patient, caring, and highly adaptable to meet the pupil's individual learning requirements. You will play an important part in nurturing the child's academic progress and emotional well-being within a supportive and structured school environment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism
- Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
- Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
- Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Requirements or
Skills:
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the child's academic and emotional development
