Functional Skills Tutor – WN1, Wigan

Location: WN1, Wigan
Hours: Part-Time | Weekdays Between School Hours
Pay: £25–£30 per hour+

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across Wigan.

• Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths
  .
• Plan lessons according to each child's individual learning needs and abilities.
• Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles, including pupils with SEN
  .
• Help learners build confidence and improve their academic progress.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.

• Minimum 1 year's UK teaching or tutoring experience
  .
• Experience working with Primary and Secondary-aged learners
  .
• SEN experience
  .
• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

• Flexible part-time work during weekdays and school hours
  .
• £25–£30 per hour+.
• Weekly pay every Friday via PAYE
  .
• Ongoing support from a dedicated TP Tutors consultant.
• Regular and long‑term tuition opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
