SEMH Tutor

Core Subject Tutors Needed | QTS|Wigan & Nearby Areas | £28–£30 per hour

Looking to step away from the pressures of the classroom while still making a genuine difference in education?

We are currently seeking passionate Maths, English, and Science tutors across Wigan and the surrounding areas to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds.

This role offers the opportunity to support students in a more personalised way — whether they need a confidence boost, additional academic support, or alternative provision due to SEN/SEMH needs

• Focused 1:1 Support – Deliver tailored, face-to-face sessions outside of a traditional classroom environment.
• Freedom to Teach Your Way – Plan and adapt lessons around each pupil’s individual learning style, abilities and needs.
• Flexible Working – Choose the hours that suit your schedule, whether you’re looking for a few sessions a week or a fuller timetable.
• Rewarding Outcomes – Build strong relationships with pupils and see first‑hand the progress your support creates.
• Local Opportunities – Work with pupils in Wigan and the surrounding communities, reducing the need for long-distance travel.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English and/or Science
  .
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
  .
• A good understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  .
• The ability to adapt your teaching approach to engage individual students.
• Previous teaching, tutoring or classroom experience.

• £28–£30 per hour
  , depending on experience and qualifications.
• Flexible hours ranging from 1 to 25 hours per week
  .
• Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
