Grade 1, £6,180 per annum. £12.85 per hour

10 hours per week, term time, working 42 weeks per year

St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery are looking to appoint a dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate’s role will include:
  • Cleaning duties within allocated areas and in line with specified standards;
  • To operate/use relevant cleaning equipment and materials (following relevant training);
  • To refill and replace consumables and to collect and dispose of waste;
  • To report serious hazards/faulty equipment as soon as practicably possible;
  • To undertake specialist cleaning programmes during school closures or other designated periods.

Essentials for this role are:
  • Willingness to undertaking relevant training including COSHH and health and safety at work;
  • Ability to use a range of equipment relevant to the post;
  • Ability to recognise the importance of ensuring a sage and secure environment;
  • Ability to take direction to complete a range of cleaning;
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.
