Learning Support Assistant
Prospero Teaching is looking for Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Wigan.
Acting as a work‑finding service, we provide supply cover to a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools; from small village schools to large secondary schools. We are looking for Teaching Assistants to support students from Early Years all the way up to Key Stage
5. Strong behaviour management skills are essential.

Hours - 8:30 am - 3pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover. Start and end time can vary from school to school

PayMinimum rate of pay
- Minimum rate £90 per day
- Rate negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications
- Support students either by supervising a small group of students in activities, working 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 with students, aid the Teacher in the classroom.
- Any teaching related qualifications are desired but not essential (Including teaching qualifications obtained abroad)
- Teaching Assistant qualifications
- SEN/SEMH Awareness
- Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally up to at least 6 months
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training is provided)
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references that cover the last two years, notwithstanding referencing any appropriate child-related work experience
- Appropriate CV history
