37 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks, working 41 weeks per year

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and manage Oakfield High School & College’s statutory duties relating to Education Health Care Plans, ensuring full compliance of the federation’s legal duties with the Children and Families Act 2014 and all associated Regulations (i.e. The Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations, The Special Educational Needs (Personal Budget) regulations etc).

To act as lead manager at Oakfield for the review process of EHC Plans ensuring that the special educational provision set out in the EHC Plan is delivered appropriately and in line with LA and school legal duties, addressing issues or disagreements including where necessary representing the schools in formal disagreement resolution or mediation.

To support the process of change of placement for pupils changing schools.

The successful candidate must have a relevant level 4 qualification or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years’ experience in SEN setting).

The Aspire Federation has four sites based in Hindley, Bryn, Abram and Leigh. Whilst the post will initially be based at one of the Oakfield sites, please be advised that the post holder may be required to work across all of the federated sites.
