Technical Operator

Reports into:
Team Leader

Shift: Nights (10pm-6am)

Role Summary The purpose of the role is to improve the safety, efficiency and quality of our manufacturing process. To troubleshoot problems quickly and effectively to minimize downtime and prevent further damage to the equipment.

• Carrying out routine checks and inspections to identify and diagnosing any technical faults
• Identifying root cause and develop solutions for technical problems
• Replacing faulty parts, adjust settings or making other changes to the equipment
• Carrying out tests to ensure any problems have been resolved
• Conducting predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil analysis
• To monitor equipment and be able to repair and maintain
• Ensure all technical issues are processed and documented
• Identify any unsafe conditions and taking corrective action
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
• To respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests
• Ensure safety protocols are always followed when operating equipment
• To always comply with health and safety regulations
• To attend and participate in Team meetings

• Minimum of 5 GCSE Grades A-C which must include Mathematics, English Language and Double Science subject (in addition it is preferable to have Engineering & Triple Science) or equivalents
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent Technical Aptitude
• Problem-solving skills
• Must have a ‘Can Do’ attitude
