What you’ll do
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products, ensuring they align with customer specifications and industry regulations.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and models, facilitating accurate production and assembly processes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing of prototypes to validate design concepts and ensure functionality, safety, and reliability.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals, to support product development and compliance.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot design issues and implement improvements based on production feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into design practices.
  • Assist in project management tasks, including timeline development, resource allocation, and budget monitoring, to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights, using this information to inform future design iterations and enhancements.
  • Support the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for internal teams on new products and design methodologies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for efficiency gains and cost reductions in the design process.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging team members to share ideas and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a design engineering role, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar tools for creating detailed designs and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate design concepts and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes.
Nice to have
