QOY Sqn Trg Officer

Unit Role:
Army Reserve Light Cavalry. To deploy personnel in Support of Ops both overseas and in the UK with Regular units as individuals and as contingents.

Position Role:

Squadron Training Officer for B Squadron in a Light Regiment in Wigan in NW England.

Responsibilities:
1. Deputising for the Sqn Ldr/2IC.
2. Responsible for writing and implementing the Sqn training programme in line with the Sqn Ldrs Policy and adapting it as circumstances dictate. 3. To make sure that all members of the Sqn training team are aware of their duties and fulfil them. 4. To book all the necessary training resources in a timely manner so that the Sqn fulfils its annual training obligations successfully.

5. To be trained in Armed Forces Equal Opportunities Policy and perform the duties of the Sqn Equal Opportunities Officer.
6. Ensure that in all activities the Sqn has performed the relevant risk assessments for the activity concerned in peacetime and war. 7. To act as Sqn Adventure Training Officer. 8. To act as Sqn Adventure Training Officer.
9. Maintain current Army Values & Standards.
10. Required to support Training Nights and week-end activities and the Annual Deployment Exercise.
