Adult Learning Community Tutor - ESOL

Role Overview

You will deliver accredited and non‑accredited ESOL to Adult Learners across the Wigan borough, ensuring learners receive the best learning environment and achieve positive outcomes. The role is term‑time only, plus 6 weeks, with holiday pay, effectively 97% or higher of a full‑time year‑round contract if full‑time.

Position: 1 full‑time (37 hours per week) or 1 part‑time (22.2 hours per week). Term time plus 6 weeks over 44 weeks per year.
Salary:
Grade 7, £31,492 – £35,130 per annum (full‑time) or £18,895.42 – £21,078.45 per annum (part‑time). Permanent.

Deliver ESOL lessons to adult learners, both accredited and non‑accredited. Plan and deliver lessons; assess learners’ progress; provide feedback; maintain accurate records; work with the team to continuously improve the offer; support learners from diverse backgrounds to achieve outcomes.

Qualified and experienced ESOL tutor. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Experience working with adult learners from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to supporting learner outcomes.
