Procurement Director

With these foundations in place, and an ambitious plan for growth, the business is now seeking a Procurement Director to lead sourcing within a multifaceted, seasonal and fast-moving operation.

Reporting to the Managing Director and joining the UK Executive Leadership Team, the Procurement Director will lead all elements of procurement across raw materials, packaging, indirect spend and agricultural inputs. It is a role of real breadth, combining responsibility for cost, quality, service and security of supply in a market shaped by weather, seasonality and volatility.

Priorities include developing strategic grower and supplier partnerships, securing long-term continuity of supply, and creating genuine value across direct and indirect spend. Just as important is building a high-performance culture and clear succession across the teams and acting as an ambassador for the business across the wider Agrial Group, including its international purchasing function. We are seeking a commercially astute procurement leader with the judgement and pace to perform in a dynamic fresh food supply chain. Candidates will bring a proven record of senior leadership gained in fresh produce or fresh food manufacturing, with significant procurement and supplier development experience and first‑class negotiation, contract management and commercial acumen across complex, multi‑site operations.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with confident decision‑making under pressure, the ability to lead and develop multi‑disciplinary teams, and the credibility to influence at executive level within the UK and Group. Resilience in a fast-moving, service‑led environment is essential; CIPS qualification, and exposure to farming, agronomy or fresh produce, would be advantageous.
