Full-Time 12 Hour Rotating Shifts

We are recruiting for an Ink Technician to join a busy production site specialising in flexible packaging. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the print industry — full training can be provided for the right person.

The Role
As an Ink Technician, you will play a key part in ensuring the correct preparation, mixing and management of inks used in high-quality packaging production.
You will be responsible for:
Preparing inks accurately to production specifications
Supporting colour matching and quality standards
Monitoring ink usage and managing press returns
Assisting with minor press-side adjustments when required
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe ink room
Supporting stock control and deliveries
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Full training will be provided on equipment, systems and processes.
What We’re Looking For
This role is trainee friendly, so prior ink room experience is not essential. However, the following would be advantageous:
Experience with in manufacturing or production
Interest in print, colour or technical processes
Forklift licence (training can be provided)
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
Basic IT confidence
A good level of physical fitness (lifting and manual handling involved) We’re particularly keen to speak to candidates who are motivated, reliable and looking to develop a long-term career.
Shift Pattern
12-hour rotating shift pattern across a 4-week cycle:
Week 1: 4 nights, 3 days off
Week 2: 3 days, 1 day off, 3 nights
Week 3: 3 days off, 4 days
Week 4: 7 days offThis pattern offers extended rest periods built into the rota.
