Position: Registered veterinary nurse - Brand new surgeries

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RVNs who want to play an active role in establishing a new practice and shaping a positive, collaborative working culture from day one.

This practice are focused on creating outstanding first-opinion and referral practices where the needs of patients, clients and veterinary professionals are equally valued. A key part of this approach is a subscription-based model, which provides clients with predictable monthly costs while allowing Veterinary Surgeons to focus on delivering the best possible clinical care rather than having conversations driven by treatment costs.

The nursing team will be recognised as an integral part of the clinical service, with opportunities to contribute far beyond traditional support duties. Registered Veterinary Nurses will use the full range of their clinical skills, including anaesthesia, patient monitoring, surgical assistance and inpatient care, while also leading nurse consultations covering areas such as weight management, preventative healthcare, post-operative checks and parasite control.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, RVNs will be involved in maintaining equipment, managing stock and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. As the team expands, there will also be opportunities to mentor student veterinary nurses and contribute to the development of future colleagues.

Applicants should be RCVS registered with a couple of years of first-opinion nursing experience. The ideal candidate will be clinically confident, passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and enjoy building strong relationships with clients through clear, compassionate communication. This role would particularly suit someone who is excited by the opportunity to help create a new practice environment rather than joining an already established team.

Both weekday and weekend positions are available on a full-time basis. Weekday team members will work Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, while the dedicated weekend team will work Friday to Sunday, with hours of 9:00am to 6:00pm on Fridays, 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays and 12:00pm to 4:00pm on Sundays.

The salary ranges from £32,000 to £38,000 for weekday roles and £30,000 for the dedicated weekend position, depending on experience. The package also includes paid RCVS and VDS memberships, protected CPD time with ongoing professional development support, and the opportunity to work within a practice where nurses are encouraged to contribute ideas, influence clinical standards and play a meaningful role in patient care.
