Enterprise Account Executive – Job Description
The role of Enterprise Account Executive is a key position within the Enterprise, Commercial & Light Industrial team. The individual will develop and manage mid‑tier sales, engaging with a variety of customer accounts that reside with the end user and contractor community.
Duties and Responsibilities- Identify, develop, and sell UPS/Thermal Management & IRS products.
- Establish Vertiv as a supplier of choice and build sustainable long‑term relationships with the customer base.
- Produce, manage, track, and close sales opportunities through quotation selection and the C1 Quote Platform.
- Secure order intake and coordinate necessary sales/marketing support activities.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Director to design and execute a sales strategy targeting account growth and share of wallet capture, meeting or exceeding individual annual order plans.
- Participate in forecast, pipeline reviews, and project coordination meetings to map key opportunities and drive growth within the customer base.
- Consistently promote Vertiv’s product offerings throughout the hierarchy of customer accounts.
- Utilize reporting and forecasting platforms to facilitate pipeline discipline, growth, and forecasting accuracy.
- Map stakeholders and engage with content that is relevant and tailored to customer needs.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, establishing trust and strengthening repeat business.
- Contribute to teamwork and knowledge sharing within the team and organization: maintain and update reporting systems, run scheduled and ad‑hoc analyses, lead and participate in team meetings, and share insights about the market, competitors, and challenges.
- Focus on self‑growth and development: keep an open mind, learn from industry experts, participate in company meetings and events, stay current with technical developments, and apply new knowledge in day‑to‑day work.
- Be innovative: bring ideas for improvement, evaluate processes, and aim to add value for the customer, the team, and the organization.
- Own your job: approach daily work and customers with sound ethics, responsibility, discipline, and ownership, recognizing the impact on customers and the company.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience and a proven history in a sales‑focused environment.
- Commercial experience to identify and understand customer needs and how to fulfil them.
- Experience and understanding of the enterprise industry and sub‑segments.
- Experience in commercial negotiations.
- Experience in stakeholder mapping and relationship building with customers.
- Sales background in critical engineering applications, service, or product‑led environments.
- Influencing, negotiating, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid driving license.
- May be required to travel from time to time.
- Office‑based position.
